High Velocity Water Spray System
A High Velocity
Water Spray System (HVWS) is a type of fire suppression system that employs
high-pressure water jets to swiftly extinguish fires. This system is primarily
intended to safeguard areas that are at a high risk of fire, such as those that
involve flammable substances, chemicals, or electrical equipment. HVWS is
highly effective in rapidly cooling the fire source and adjacent environment by
delivering large volumes of water in a fine mist or spray pattern.
Typically, this system is employed in industrial, chemical, marine, and oil and
gas environments where a rapid and efficient response to flames is necessary.
