Foam Based Suppression System
A Foam-Based
Fire Suppression System is a fire protection solution that is intended to
suppress fires by employing foam as the primary suppression agent. Foam-based
systems are particularly effective in the suppression of fires that involve
flammable liquids, gases, and substances. These systems create a barrier on the
fuel's surface, which prevents the release of combustible vapours and
terminates the oxygen supply, which are necessary for the fire to continue
burning.
In environments with a high risk of flammable liquid flames, such as
refineries, chemical plants, aircraft hangars, and fuel storage facilities,
foam suppression systems are frequently employed.
